About your 'URBAN'-NAUT
-Naut is someone who travels to or delves into what the 'root word' indicates. In that way Urbanaut is exploring cities and buildings for a zero emission future.
Urbanaut is founded in 2017 by Bart De Smedt. Bart started his career in 2007 as a researcher at the Department of Transport and Spatial Economics at the University of Antwerp. He worked for the Policy Research Centre for Space and Housing commissioned by the Flemish Government. In 2010 Bart started at the real estate service provider Quares and became Chief Innovation Officer at Quares in 2019. In 2023 he decided to leave Quares in order to broaden his horizons and to excite more organisations willing to change.
